AWS Named Leader in SAP HANA Infrastructure Services in 2020 ISG Provider Lens™ Public Cloud Report
In its recently published ISG Provider Lens™ Quadrant Report for Public Cloud – Solutions and Services, ISG named Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a leader in SAP HANA Infrastructure Services across all countries included in the survey: Brazil, France, Nordics, UK, and the US. The ISG Provider Lens™ quadrant for SAP HANA Infrastructure Services examines cloud infrastructures best suited to host the SAP software portfolio, with emphasis on SAP S/4HANA workloads and large-scale HANA databases.
In this report, ISG lists out key considerations for SAP customers looking to migrate their workloads to the cloud, and how to select the provider that is best for you.
According to ISG, “Clients get the best security and performance for their SAP landscapes. Besides a robust partner ecosystem to support local and global enterprises, AWS is continuously investing to ensure client choices, growth and continuity. Any enterprise looking for a robust SAP platform should have AWS on top of the short-list"
For the third year in a row, AWS was selected as a 2020 ISG Provider Lens Leader for:
Launch Wizard: AWS Launch Wizard recommends a guided way to size, configure and deploy AWS resources for third-party. The entire provision and deployment execution happens without the need to manually identify and provision individual AWS resources. The AWS Launch Wizard also offers an estimated deployment cost and allows customers to modify resources and instantly view an updated cost assessment.
SAP-AWS certified cloud infrastructure: Its Quick Start helps customers deploy SAP HANA systems that are fully operational on the AWS Cloud. It also ensures that Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud, Amazon Elastic Block Store and the operating system are optimally configured to achieve the best performance for the client’s workload.
More client choices: AWS offers many SAP VMs and cloud service options, supported by an extensive and robust partner network. AWS hosts several SAP solutions, including SAP Cloud Platform, which is available in 10 regions. Many tools can be used for backup and archiving SAP data on any Amazon S3 region, including encryption, providing significant cost savings on backup and archiving.
