Level: 200
Did you know that more than 40% of all internet traffic is bot traffic and over 75% of all malicious activity on the internet is carried out using bots? Traffic from such bots can cause a negative user experience such as add-to-cart attacks, increased business risk by committing fraudulent transactions, and increased infrastructure costs due to volumetric attacks such as DDoS attacks. In this session, we will explore the evolution of bots and it's relation to fraud, how AWS uses a combination of techniques to detect different types of bots and fraud attacks, and what you can do to protect your applications against such attacks.
Learning Objectives
- Learn how to block unwanted bot traffic using AWS WAF
- Deep Dive into AWS WAF's Bot Control capabilities
- Learn how AWS Bot Control uses advanced detection techniques like behavior-based detections to detect bots
