Dr. Matt Wood

VP, Business Analytics, AWS

Dr. Wood did his PhD in machine learning and bioinformatics, joined Cornell as a research fellow, and contributed to the next generation DNA sequencing platform at the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute. Since joining AWS in early 2010, he has played a role in introducing many significant new features and services, including Amazon SageMaker and AWS DeepLens.

COVID-19 entry requirements / health measures
Masks are recommended for everyone at re:Invent re:Cap - UK Public Sector Edition. AWS will make masks available for all attendees who would like one. In line with government guidelines we have relaxed the requirement to show proof of vaccination in order to attend.
Are masks required at re:Invent re:Cap - UK Public Sector Edition?
In accordance with UK Government guidance you no longer need to wear a face covering, but consider wearing one in crowded, enclosed spaces where you may come into contact with people you do not normally meet. AWS recommends attendees to wear a mask, and attendees may provide their own mask, or use a mask provided by AWS.
