How to build an analytics pipeline with a small team
As you’re developing a game, it’s important to have the right information at the right time to be able to answer questions about how your game is performing, where there are bottlenecks, and what changes you need to make to keep players engaged. In this session we’ll cover how you can build an analytics pipeline for your game without managing any infrastructure, enabling you to power very large workloads even if you have a small team. We’ll aim to give you the tools to become more data-driven in your decision making, and encourage prioritizing game analytics pipeline creation as an embedded part of your game development cycle.

Get ready to ship better games, faster
Building, testing and shipping games has a lot of nuances. The source code, including assets and media, tends to be very large, and so are the compiled game binaries. The version control of choice is often different from other types of development, and build pipeline workloads are highly variable, requiring large amounts of resources during some parts of the development cycle – and very little at others, which makes it hard to right-size. In this talk, we’ll explore extending or moving your build pipeline into the cloud using AWS services, such as EC2, Spot Fleets, and S3. Learn how you can use these tools to speed up your build pipeline by extending it to the cloud. By allowing your build environment to scale to match the demand, you can shorten the development iteration cycle, and decrease engineering time waiting for builds without sacrificing quality.
