Amazon EC2 Inf1 instances

Inf1 instances deliver up to 30% higher throughput and up to 45% lower cost per inference than Amazon EC2 GPU instances. They are built from the ground up to support machine learning inference. They feature up to 16 AWS Inferentia chips, high-performance machine learning inference chips designed and built by AWS. Using Inf1 instances, you can run large scale machine learning inference applications such as search recommendation, computer vision, speech recognition, natural language processing, personalization, and fraud detection, at the lowest cost in the cloud.

Amazon EC2 F1 instances

F1 instances use FPGAs to enable delivery of custom hardware accelerations. They are easy to program and come with everything you need to develop, simulate, debug, and compile your hardware acceleration code, including an FPGA Developer AMI and supporting hardware level development on the cloud. You can use F1 instances to solve complex science, engineering, and business problems that benefit from custom hardware acceleration, and very high parallel compute capabilities. Use cases that can benefit from F1 instance acceleration include genomics, search/analytics, image and video processing, network security, electronic design automation (EDA), image and file compression, and big data analytics.

  5. How do I make sure I’m not being charged?
    You can view your Amazon EC2 charges or download your EC2 usage by going to the billing dashboard in the AWS Console. When your free trial expires, you can continue using your domain without interruption at the standard, pay-as-you-go service rates.
