Stephen Orban, Director of AWS Data Exchange

Stephen Orban is the General Manager (GM) of AWS Data Exchange and author of the book, “Ahead in the Cloud: Best Practices for Navigating the Future of Enterprise IT.” He spent his first three-and-a-half years with Amazon as the Global Head of Enterprise Strategy, where he oversaw AWS’s enterprise go-to-market strategy, invented and built AWS’s Migration Acceleration Program (MAP), and helped executives from hundreds of the world’s largest companies envision, develop, and mature their IT operating model using the cloud. Prior to joining AWS, Stephen was CIO of Dow Jones, where he introduced modern software development methodologies and reduced costs while implementing a cloud-first strategy and he also spent 11 years at Bloomberg LP, holding a variety of leadership positions before founding Bloomberg Sports in 2008, where he served as CTO. Stephen earned his bachelor’s degree in computer science from State University of New York College at Fredonia.

Shez Partovi MD, Worldwide Director of AWS Healthcare and Life Sciences Business Development

Dr. Shez Partovi obtained his medical degree from the prestigious McGill University, in Montreal, Canada and completed his neuroradiology subspecialty training at Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, AZ. He is a serial entrepreneur and has launched a number of health IT companies. After a decade of clinical practice, Dr. Partovi transitioned into an executive role at the 4th largest health system in the US, where he served as its Chief Digital Officer. Dr. Partovi joined Amazon Web Services in 2018 as World Wide Director of Business Development for Healthcare and Life Sciences and is currently working on over a dozen large scale initiatives across the globe and has a unique perspective of the opportunities to transform healthcare worldwide.
