Speakers

David S. Owens, MD, Medical Director, Rapid Radiology

David graduated from Furman University with a double major in chemistry and physics, and a MD from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. Following a residency and fellowship at Emory University Hospital in Neuroradiology and Interventional Neuroradiology, Dr. Owens remained on staff, specializing in interventional therapies in brain disorders. Since 1997, he has been in private practice. He has specialized in brain and spine imaging for the past twenty-five years, with expertise in traumatic brain injury, sports related brain trauma, and neurocognitive disorders. He has extensive experience in advanced imaging modalities for brain dysfunction, including DTI and functional imaging.




Tim Rothermel, Radiologic Technologist, Manager of Operations, Steel Valley Portable X-Ray Service

Tim graduated as a Radiologic Technologist in 1997 from Lorain County College. He began his career as a Staff Technologist at MobilexUSA then advanced to MRI Technologist at Alliance Imaging. This experience prepared Tim for a management role at Steel Valley Portable X-Ray Service, Ohio’s largest mobile imaging company. Currently, the Operations Manager, serving his fifteenth year at Steel Valley, Tim manages the day-to-day operations, which includes dispatching imaging technicians throughout the state of Ohio to a myriad of healthcare facilities and administering the highest quality mobile care. In addition to operations, Tim is also responsible for quality control, customer service, and staffing.




James Han, WW BDM, Healthcare Solutions, AWS

James is based in Seattle, WA. He started his entry into healthcare IT in 1999 by working with a research team on virtual colonoscopy software at Wake Forest University School of Medicine. Over the years he has been in various strategy and product development roles at Microsoft, Dell EMC, GE, 3M, and Veritas. These positions focused on analytics, Health Information Exchange, medical imaging, structured reporting, speech recognition, and general IT solutions for healthcare customers.
