Initially MECCA implemented product recommendations using native capabilities from within its email management system. After these “one-size-fits-all" solutions proved ineffective, the company approached Servian for a more advanced and nuanced proposal.
Leveraging solutions from Amazon Web Services (AWS), such as Amazon Personalize and Amazon SageMaker, Servian achieved deep personalisation of MECCA's customer emails. Using product recommendations across MECCA's entire catalogue, as well as a long short-term memory (LSTM) propensity model to identify the best timing for product replenishment, MECCA saw email click-through rates increase by 65 percent.
