These free, unique training sessions (4 sessions) will provide a step-by-step introduction in Polish to the core AWS Services for compute, storage, database and networking.

AWS technical experts will explain key features and use cases, share best practices, walk through technical demos.

Polish Online AWSome Week is ideal for IT managers, system engineers, system administrators, and architects who are eager to learn more about cloud computing and how to get started on AWS Cloud.

September 17 10:00 - 11:00 CET | Welcome, AWS Introduction, Foundations and Infrastructure services (in Polish)

During this module we will present an introduction to AWS and its history. We will describe the foundational services on AWS and discuss AWS global infrastructure. During the presentation we will log into AWS Console and demonstrate foundational services with a hands-on demo.

What you will learn:
- AWS Foundations
- AWS Global infrastructure
- AWS Management Console (including a demo)
- Amazon Elastic Cloud Compute (EC2) concepts, including instance types and families, AMIs, metadata and user data
- Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3) storage concepts, including buckets, objects, and lifecycle management
- Amazon S3 demo
- Amazon Elastic Block Store (EBS) concepts, including volumes, snapshots and performance
- Amazon EC2 instance store concepts, including SSD, swap volumes and optimizing disk performance
- Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) concepts, including subnets, security and networking

September 18 10:00 - 11:00 CET | AWS Security, Identity and Access Management Services (in Polish)

We will present in detail the Identity and Access Management service and IAM best practices. We will comprehensively review security of AWS cloud platform explaining in details the shared responsibility model, discussing certifications and accreditations. During the presentation we will do a demo of IAM directly in AWS console.

September 19 10:00 - 11:00 CET | AWS Databases (in Polish)

During this module we will present an overview of various databases available on AWS platform. We will discuss how to choose the most optimal database service for specific use case scenarios. We will conclude with a demo of AWS Database Managed Services both for RDS and DynamoDB services.


What you will learn:
- Introduction to various purpose-built database services (relational, key value, ducument, in-memory, graph, time-series and ledger)
- Criteria to consider before choosing a certain type of database service
- Database Models (SQL vs NoSQL)
- Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS) concepts, including database instances, security groups, parameter and option groups
- Amazon DynamoDB concepts, including data model and supported operations
- Amazon Document Database

September 20 10:00 - 11:00 CET | Elasticity, Containers, Artificial Intelligence and Course Wrap-up (in Polish)

During this session we will present and explain the concept of cloud elasticity, discuss Docker containers and present an overview of AWS AI services. All concepts will be also demonstrated hands-on directly in AWS console.
