Developers expend a lot of time managing MongoDB clusters at scale, including dealing with the undifferentiated heavy lifting of securing, patching, and operating MongoDB. Amazon DocumentDB is designed from the ground up to give customers the performance, scalability, and availability they need when operating mission-critical MongoDB workloads at scale. In this tech talk, we will discuss three different options on how to migrate existing MongoDB replica sets or sharded clusters that are running on premises or Amazon EC2 to Amazon DocumentDB.

Learning Objectives
- Discover how Amazon DocumentDB is designed from the ground up to give developers performance, scalability, and availability
- Understand the three method (offline, online, hybrid) options and respective migration tools like the AWS Database Migration Service (DMS) that can help developers with migrations
- Learn best practices when migrating to Amazon DocumentDB
