Initiate Medellín 2022

Amazon Web Services (AWS) celebrará la próxima edición del evento Initiate 2022, para el cual Medellín ha sido elegida como ciudad anfitriona en Colombia.

El objetivo principal de nuestro evento es compartir con ustedes conocimientos básicos sobre las tecnologías de la nube y mejores prácticas emprendidas por nuestros clientes en los sectores de gobierno, educación, salud y sin ánimo de lucro. Aparte de las sesiones técnicas, usted tendrá una oportunidad de aprender estrategias y metodologías de la gestión de cambio necesarias para adoptar las tecnologías en la nube y así continuar la estrategia de transformación digital en su organización.

    Valería Phillips, Directora de Marketing Latinoamérica en AWS para Sector Público

    Valeria es la líder de marketing del sector público de la división de AWS para América Latina. Es responsable de liderar el desarrollo y ejecución de estrategias de marketing y planes tácticos para organizaciones gubernamentales, educativas, salud y sin fines de lucro.

    Tiene más de 20 años de experiencia en desarrollo empresarial, consultoría, innovación y marketing con empresas de tecnología líderes como Hewlett Packard, Ellucian y Pitney Bowes Software. Ha asesorado a instituciones gubernamentales y educativas de todo el mundo sobre la mejora de los procesos de negocio y la transformación digital. 

    Valeria tiene una maestría en Ciencias de la Información de la Universidad Simón Bolívar, Venezuela y una maestría en Administración de Empresas de Rollins College, Estados Unidos. Ella reside en Denver, Colorado.

    Fernando Chaves, Gerente Professional Services para Latinoamérica en AWS

    Fernando Chaves es líder de la unidad de servicios profesionales de nube para sector público en Colombia, Central America y México. Es responsable por acelerar la adopción de nube en nuestros clientes de gobierno, salud, educación, energía, entre otros. La unidad de servicios profesionales es un equipo especializado en todos los servicios que AWS ofrece a nuestros clientes.

    Fernando cuenta con 17 años de experiencia en su servicios de consultoria y transformación del negocio en diferentes indústrias y países de América Latina como Brasil, Argentina, Peru, México y Colombia. Fernando Chaves es profesional en Ingeniería de la Computación y cuenta con Master Business Administration en gestión ejecutiva.

  • Lorena Zicker

    Lorena Zicker, Directora General SOLAPS en AWS para Sector Público

    Lorena es Lic. en Publicidad de la Universidad de Palermo. En 2017 fue reconocida, junto a otras 15 mujeres, con la distinción “Women to Watch Argentina”, reconocimiento otorgado a un selecto grupo de mujeres ejecutivas destacadas en varios países del mundo. En 2018, fue reconocida con la distinción “Women in Channel” por su trayectoria en la industria IT Argentina a lo largo de 22 años de carrera. Lorena es miembro del Consejo Directivo de Amcham Argentina y Mentora en Voces Vitales.

    Lorena se sumó al equipo de AWS basada en Buenos Aires en Junio de 2019 como responsable del segmento de Sector Publico en la región. Desde su posición, es responsable de la estrategia de negocios y expansión de AWS en los segmentos de Gobierno, Educación, Salud Pública y Organizaciones sin fines de lucro.

    Raju Gulabani is VP of Databases, Analytics & AI within AWS at Amazon.com. He is responsible for P&<, product management, engineering and operations for Database services such as Amazon Aurora and Amazon DynamoDB, and Analytics services such as Amazon Redshift and Amazon EMR, as well as AI services like Amazon Lex, Amazon Polly, and Amazon Rekognition. Prior to joining Amazon in his current position in 2010, Raju spent four years at Google and built the Google Apps business (now known as G Suite).Earlier in his career, Raju founded an Intel backed Wi-Fi Voice over IP company as well as held engineering management positions at Microsoft.

    Richard Boyd is a cloud data engineer with the iRobot Corporation’s Cloud Data Platform where he builds tools and services to support the world’s most beloved vacuum cleaner. Before joining iRobot, Richard built discrete event simulators for Amazon’s automated fulfillment centers in Amazon Robotics. His previous roles include cyber warfare systems analyst at MIT and research for the Center for Army Analysis. He holds advanced degrees in Applied Mathematics & Statistics.
