Join us to learn how to use Amazon Athena to interactively analyze data in Amazon S3 data lakes. Athena is serverless, so there is no infrastructure to manage, and you pay only for the queries that you run. Simply point to your data in S3, define the schema, and start querying using standard SQL. Athena is integrated out-of-the-box with data catalogs created by AWS Glue and AWS Lake Formation, allowing you to create a unified metadata repository across various services, crawl data sources to discover schemas and populate your catalog, and maintain schema versioning. You can also use AWS serverless ETL capabilities to transform and de-duplicate data, or convert it into columnar formats in your data lake to optimize cost and improve performance.

Learning Objectives
- Learn how to use Athena for serverless SQL on your data lake
- Understand how Athena can integrate with your data catalog
- See how Lake Formation provides access control for Athena users
