M&E Cloud Symposium in Los Angeles


We invite you to join us for a day of exploration on the trends in cloud computing that are reshaping the M&E industry. Learn how companies of all sizes are leveraging AWS services to increase agility, scale, and operational intelligence to perfect the media experience.

We will start with an overview of the M&E industry along with relevant AWS releases over the past year. Our morning keynote will focus on how content owners and broadcasters are leveraging machine learning to drive business results, followed by afternoon breakout sessions with customer success stories around content creation and distribution. AWS subject matter experts will be on hand to answer your questions about best practices for migrating workloads to the cloud.

Enhancing the Viewer Experience with Machine Learning: GrayMeta and the Sky News “Royal Wedding: Who’s Who App”

With the power of machine learning, the Sky News "Royal Wedding: Who's Who" app - built in collaboration with AWS, GrayMeta, and UI Centric - will allow viewers to watch real-time updates of celebrity wedding guests as they enter St. George Chapel on May 19. This exciting Keynote will cover how GrayMeta is leveraging Amazon Rekognition for real-time identification of guests and tagging with related information. You will also learn how Sky is using AWS Elemental Media Services for live video capture and multiscreen viewing optimization as well as Amazon CloudFront to unify the content for rapid distribution to viewers.

He has broad experience and knowledge in metadata and content workflows with global cloud, on-premises, and hybrid-based solutions. Today, Josh leads with the same forward-thinking approach at GrayMeta, as the Chief Commercial Officer, where they are shaping the future of how metadata is created, curated, and consumed within organizations. By leveraging machine learning and artificial intelligence, GrayMeta is solving complex data challenges by increasing organizational efficiencies within the Media & Entertainment, Law Enforcement, and Healthcare industries, as well as other public and private organizations.
