How it works
AWS Innovate registered racers with the 3 fastest lap times in the October race of the Virtual Circuit will receive AWS credits. The event will run from October 1, 2019, 12:01am until October 31, 2019, 11:59pm London Time. For answers to any other questions, please see the FAQs.
Get started with machine learning!
Learn how to build, train, and evaluate an autonomous driving model using AWS DeepRacer and reinforcement learning at AWS Innovate. AWS Innovate DeepRacer challenge will award prizes to developers from AWS Innovate who can submit the fastest lap times to the virtual leaderboard! Check out resources to get started here.
Who should participate
This activity allows developers of all skill levels to get started with reinforcement learning by providing hands-on tutorials to quickly start training RL models and test them in a fun, autonomous car racing experience. You can start training your model on the virtual track in minutes, wherever you are.
How to enter
To qualify for entry into the AWS Innovate DeepRacer challenge, simply
1. Complete the event registration form
Register for AWS Innovate Online Conference – Machine Learning & AI Edition here.
2. Complete the challenge registration form
Register for the AWS Innovate DeepRacer challenge by completing the form on this page. You will need to have an AWS account to participate in this activity. If you don't have an AWS account follow the steps shown here to create one.
PLEASE NOTE: You must use the email address associated with your AWS account to register for AWS Innovate and for the AWS Innovate DeepRacer Challenge. If you do not use the same email address you will not be entered into the AWS Innovate DeepRacer Challenge. Email addresses and AWS account IDs will be used to manage the AWS Innovate DeepRacer Challenge, to identify participants and to contact winners. By registering, you agree to the AWS DeepRacer League terms.
Prizes for this challenge
The developers who submit the 3 fastest lap times will win prizes in the form of AWS credits.
1st Place
$1,250 AWS credit
2nd Place
$750 AWS credit
3rd Place
$500 AWS credit
By participating in this challenge, you are also racing in the global Virtual Circuit and can compete with others to win a trip to re:Invent 2019 and an AWS DeepRacer (read the AWS DeepRacer League Official Rules here).
All participants who successfully submit an entry to the AWS DeepRacer League leaderboard in October will receive $25 AWS credits, which they will receive via email by November 15th.
