This tech talk showcases the capabilities of AWS RoboMaker to enhance the performance of an autonomous ground vehicle (AGV) to navigate an environment, identify objects, and learn new objects. We will demo these capabilities using the Nvidia Jetson Nano (Jetbot) navigating a Jurassic world environment to locate and identify various objects (dinosaurs). If an unknown dinosaur is detected, then a photo is sent to the cloud where AWS SageMaker is used to retrain a model that is then pushed to the Jetbot via AWS RoboMaker services. This showcases the ability to use RoboMaker and AWS services for any robotic or automation use case for which machine learning (ML), artificial intelligence (AI), in-field application updates, fleet management, OTA (over-the-air) code deployment, and object detection and recognition are important.
