Achieve High Resiliency, Availability, and Disaster Recovery for Sensitive Data and Regulated Systems in AWS GovCloud (US-West) and AWS GovCloud (US-East) Regions

AWS GovCloud (US) comprises two AWS Regions – AWS GovCloud (US-West) located in Oregon and AWS GovCloud (US-East) located in Ohio. Both regions are operated by AWS employees who are US citizens on US soil, allowing customers to address a number of compliance and regulatory requirements including FedRAMP High, DOD SRG IL 2, 4, and 5, CJIS, and ITAR.

With the launch of AWS GovCloud (US-East), customers now have additional isolated AWS infrastructure for their sensitive, highly regulated, and mission-critical data and applications. Whether you are designing for low-latency based on geographic requirements or high availability to increase workload resiliency to meet disaster recovery objectives, AWS GovCloud (US) lets you architect for business and mission continuity, security, and compliance.
