As engineering simulations continue to replace physical models in the design and product development process, engineering firms are constantly exploring ways to run complex simulations more efficiently. By moving these complex simulation workloads to AWS, engineering firms can take advantage of the virtually unlimited scale that AWS offers to accelerate their time to results. HPC on AWS offers engineers a much wider variety of hardware instances than would be possible to support on-premises, enabling easy and instant access to the right hardware configuration for any application. In this tech talk, we will discuss the best practices for running design and engineering applications like CFD and FEA on AWS - including recommendations on selecting the right EC2 instances and storage options based on the HPC application type.
