Jeff Brown, Director of IT Strategy, Jefferson Health
Jeff Brown joined Magee Rehabilitation Hospital in May 2010 as the IT Director. He currently works in Jefferson Health’s IS&T department as the Director of IT Strategy. Prior to implementing the Alexa Smart Properties and Aiva Health solution at Magee, he has integrated Magee’s nurse call system with real time hands-free voice badges, and the emergency response system. This system increased patient to nurse and other caretaker communications, increase patient safety, and decreased overhead paging. With a focus on automating workflows for caretakers and patients the next logical step was adding a voice assistant to enable room controls for Magee’s patients.
Michael Leonard, Global Healthcare Category Lead, AWS Marketplace
Michael is responsible for growing the AWS Marketplace healthcare vertical business. His previous role was a Principal Product Manager on the AWS Storage Gateway team. Over the past 20 years, Michael has progressed through a variety of roles in business development, product management and engineering at AWS, Commvault, Iron Mountain, Merge Healthcare and GE Healthcare. He built and managed teams to develop Healthcare IT solutions focused on medical imaging, EHR systems, hybrid cloud storage services and data protection solutions.
