Now Available On-Demand

Cloud environments require different security risk detection and response approaches than traditional on-premises environments. Cloud systems are dynamic, with rapid workload changes to ensure availability, scalability, and cost optimization. Traditional security tools, such as endpoint, network, and event management, find difficulties monitoring changes and addressing vulnerabilities in cloud environments and the changing security landscape. As a result, organizations should consider updated strategies and mechanisms that are proactive, agile, and can effectively mitigate cloud security risks.

In this webinar, SANS and AWS Marketplace will discuss how to adapt on-premises detection and response capabilities and technologies to the cloud. Additionally, they will talk about building cloud-centric managed or co-managed security operations center (SOC) workflows.

Attendees will learn:

  • Adapting on-premises detection and response capabilities to the cloud
  • How adversaries have shifted tactics in cloud environments, and what patterns, behaviors, and practices security teams should be looking for
  • Building a managed or co-managed SOC for the cloud that considers skill gaps, responsibility models, and coordination with managed service providers
  • Example use cases and threat scenarios, such as cryptomining, that align with the MITRE ATT&CK framework

Who Should Attend?

Security Analysts, Security Architects, Security Engineers, Cloud Security Architects, and the office of the CISO
