Implementing Operational Excellence using AWS Management and Governance Services

In this workshop, we will walk through how to apply the principals of the operational excellence Well-Architected pillar using AWS Management and Governance services. This includes a deep dive into services like Amazon CloudWatch, AWS X-Ray, Amazon DevOps Guru, Amazon Managed Service for Prometheus, Amazon Managed Service for Grafana, AWS Config, and AWS Systems Manager. We will show you how to run workloads effectively, gain insights into your operations, and discuss how to support your operational business objectives.

Virtual Workshop Episodes

AWS Systems Manager plays a key role in enabling operational excellence. AWS Systems Manager allows our customers to manage and enable the collection of operational telemetry from EC2 Instances, on-premise servers and virtual machines (VMs), and VMs in other cloud environments. In this episode we will walk through setting up the Systems Manager (SSM) Agent on EC2, and using this to deploy and configure the CloudWatch Agent.
