Building your own system-of-record with traditional databases often requires setting up custom audit functionality along with a way to ensure the integrity of the data is always maintained. Amazon QLDB is a purpose-build ledger database that makes it easy to build a system-of-record with an immutable and cryptographically verifiable audit log. In this tech talk, hear from AWS Data Hero and Chief Architect of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) in the UK, Matt Lewis, on why DVLA is trialling Amazon QLDB over a traditional database for moving registers to the cloud. Matt will share DVLA’s use case as well as the event-driven architecture they use for their application.
